About the Team

Hello! We're the FTC #25812 Mechanical Mushrooms, and we're a team based out of the Triangle Area in North Carolina. All of our members are freshmen and have 1-3 years of FTC experience on our school's team, but this is our first time running our own. 

As a community team, we aren’t associated with any school and therefore don’t receive funding from a specific school system. Instead, we raise money through fundraisers, sponsors, and outreach opportunities.

Mechanical Mushrooms is unique in that it is an all-girl team.. Our robotics team will hopefully inspire other girls to take the lead, especially when they see that an all-girls robotics team is possible. Women are often pushed back in STEM fields, even at a young age. We aim to help inspire and create the next generation of successful, confident women in STEM.
